Tuff Truck Competition Rules

Any 2WD & 4WD motor vehicles will be permitted to enter any of the (4) classes available.

  1. Driver must be at least 16 years old or have a minor release form signed by parent or guardian ,if under age 18. Each driver may enter only one time per class.
  1. All contestants must sign a waiver understanding that they are competing at their own risk and that they will not bring suit against any officials, employees, event sponsors, Last Chance Motorsports or the Houlton Agricultural Fair Association. By signing the release form you agree to all rules .
  1. Registration will be conducted on raceday from 11:30am til time of Race. Registration Entry fee will be the Gate Fee per competitor for class entered. Each Additional Class is $5.00 per racer per class
  1. All drivers MUST wear Snell approved helmet (strapped) with safety glasses, long sleeved shirts, pants and closed footwear. Racesuits are recommended.
  1. All vehicles must pass tech inspection before competing. If the officials determine a vehicle is unsafe, officials have the right to not allow vehicle to compete.   TECH INSPECTION AREA CLOSES ONE HOUR BEFORE SESSION IS SCHEDULED TO START.
  1. All vehicles registered for the 4WD Stock class MUST be registered, inspected & insured [street legal]
  1. All drivers must attend mandatory driver’s meeting, which will be at 10:30 am.
  2. If any vehicle and/or driver are disqualified for any reason, no refund of entry fee or pit fee will be

awarded. DRIVER AND PIT CREW ENTERS PIT AREA FREE.

  1. Competition vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times within the confines of the track, pit area, and staging area and fair facilities. Track officials have the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. Pit and staging areas speed limit is 5 mph or less.
  1. Competitor must wait for the green flag from Starting Flagman before starting the run. Competitor must stop immediately upon signal from the red flag displayed by the Flagman. All race procedures must be followed, as instructed.
  1. Track officials will have the option to check competitors for rule violations at any time during the event, without dispute.
  1. All contestants must drive vehicle onto track and into position to compete under its own power and must leave track under its own power unless for breakage.
  1. No one allowed on racecourse except for approved track officials or emergency personnel.
  1. Nitrous oxide or accelerators are not permitted. No nitrous oxide allowed, regardless. Diesel fuel permitted in diesel engines.
  1. Recommended that all vehicles carry an active 5 lb.dry chemical fire extinguisher.
  1. Seat belts (lap belt and shoulder strap) required and must be worn. 4 or 5 point harness recommended. Window nets are also preferred.
  1. All side windows {glass} must be removed or minimum rolled down for safety purposes.
  1. All vehicles must have a 4 wheel hydraulic brake system in good working condition. No individual wheel brakes allowed.
  1. If battery is relocated it must be in a plastic battery box securely mounted, covered by a non-conductive material .
  1. All pickup truck beds must be firmly attached to the chassis. Tailgates must be securely fastened or removed. All wheel lugs must be present and tightened.
  1. Stock fuel tanks in stock locations are highly recommended. Any others must have a fuel cell or boat fuel tank secured and covered with non –conductive material. No exposed fuel lines in driver’s compartment areas.
  1. NO alcoholic beverages or substances of any illegal content will be allowed or tolerated, if any suspicion thereof will be an automatic removal from event. Each competitor will be responsible for their crews actions.
  1. Contest will be governed by track officials and Competition Director with all decisions final.
  1. The Competition Director or track officials reserve the right to change any safety rules if they feel it is necessary.
  1. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/ OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The Competition Director shall be empowered to permit restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

CONTEST OPENED TO 16 YEARS AND OLDER - ALL MINORS MUST HAVE A WAIVER SIGNED BY PARENTS WHEN REGISTERING.
